新良幸人
新良幸人（あらゆきと）
1967年、沖縄県石垣市白保生まれ。
11歳より父・新良幸永に師事し、八重山民謡を学ぶ。17歳で八重山古典音楽コンクール最高賞を受賞。
エモーショナルな唄と三絃を軸に、民謡から現代的表現まで幅広い音楽活動を展開している。
ソロ活動のほか、パーシャクラブのヴォーカル＆三絃奏者として、また同メンバーの仲宗根哲（サンデー）とのユニット活動、下地イサムとのユニットTHE SAKISHIMA meeting など、多彩な形態で活動。
シングル「ファムレウタ」はTBS系『筑紫哲也ニュース23』のエンディングテーマに起用。
2003年にソロアルバム『月虹（げっこう）』を発表。
2008年、第6回宮良長包音楽賞・特別賞を受賞。
2011年にはテイチク・タクミノートよりピアニスト・サトウユウ子とのコラボレーションアルバム『浄夜』をリリース。
2012年、モントリオール国際映画祭で2部門を受賞した映画『カラカラ』では音楽監督を務める。
角松敏生、coba、夏川りみ、犬山イヌコなど、多くのアーティスト作品にも参加し、その活動は多方面に広がっている。
Yukito Ara
Singer / Sanshin Player
Born in 1967 in Shiraho, Ishigaki Island, Okinawa.
He began studying Yaeyama folk music at the age of 11 under the guidance of his father, Yukinaga Ara. He was awarded the top prize at the Yaeyama Classical Music Competition at the age of 17.
His emotional vocals and expressive sanshin performance spans traditional Okinawan folk music as well as contemporary musical styles.
In addition to his solo career, he is the vocalist and sanshin player for the band Pasha Club. He sometimes performs as a duo with fellow Pasha Club member and taiko player Tetsu “Sunday” Nakasone. He is also a member of THE SAKASHIMA meeting with Isamu Shimoji.
His single, Famureuta, was featured as the ending theme of the TBS television program Chikushi Tetsuya News 23.
2003: Released his solo album Gekkou (Moonbow)
2008: Received the Miara Chouhou Music Award- Special prize
2011: Released the album Jouya in collaboration with pianist Yuko Sato
on the Takumi Note label (Teichiku Records)
2012: Music director for the film KARAKARA which won two awards at the Montreal World Film Festival
He has contributed to works of various artists such as Toshiki Kadomatsu,
coba, Rimi Natsukawa and Inuko Inuyama, among others. His activities span a wide range of musical fields.
